Yes, I did find love in Bali!!!!!

Her name is the Gili Islands. The Gili islands are a place of rest and relaxiation (and sometimes partying :) Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan are popular destionations for travelers who like white sand beaches, beautiful views of sun rises and sunsets and general tranquality. No cars are allowed on any of these islands so your only means of transportation are horse and carriage carts, the iron horse (a bicycle) and of course your feet. The best part about staying on these islands is that you’ll realize that you don’t want to go anywhere.

This is where I spent the bulk of my time in Bali, and I’ll be honest I didn’t take many pictures because I was just enjoying it. As I mentioned before the main draw of these islands are the beaches, the diving and the peacefulness (outside of the nightlife) and if you’re looking for a place like this absolutely head to the Gili islands. Gili Trawangan (or Gili T as its know by many) is the largest of the islands and therefor the one with the most  resorts, restaurants, bars and diving shops. This tends to be the place where most backpackers stay, because of the nightlife, but if you’re looking for something more quiet on the bigger island head over to the western side where its so quiet, it feels like you’re on another island all together. Gili Air and Gili Meno are a lot smaller and tend to be the place where couples head for some quiet time, some snorkeling and all around chilling.

If you’re in Bali and want to head to a place where you’ll probably spend longer than planned head to the Gili islands. Like I said I didn’t take many pics, but here are a few.
